The Green Hornet Movie [VIDEO]

Not sure how I missed the trailer release of The Green Hornet movie last month! Surprisingly the title role of Britt Reid (The Green Hornet) will be played by Seth Rogan who seems to be quite busy these days. Sidekick Kato, originally played in the TV Series by the unforgettable Bruce Lee, will be played by Jay Chou, who I am unfamiliar with.

The screenplay had been floating for years, with filmmaker and comic writer Kevin Smith lined up to write and direct. Being a Kevin Smith fan, I was keeping an eye out for news. Although Smith dropped out of the project, it looks like his concept may see the light of day after all, in comic book form.

Very notably, the film will be directed by acclaimed French filmmaker Michel Gondry, who I mostly know from his film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. One would hope that his creativity shines through an action-packed superhero flick.

Set for a January 2011 release, according to the Official Website, I have to say, the trailer looks pretty cool:

Human + Household Object = Superhero!

Aha, the key to Stan Lee’s superhero creation process unveiled (yea, I know Bob Kane created Batman…):

Yup, I’d buy this T-Shirt from Threadless!

Speaking of Stan “the Man” Lee, you can see him interviewed about his role in Iron Man 2 and other Marvel cameos in this DailyDips episode from Dipdive:

Killing off Bruce Wayne?! Bad move…

Let’s face it, artists/writers have killed off characters in comics before, even Superman, and brought them back.

But c’mon, this is Bruce Wayne, Batman, THE Dark Knight… Are they really going to kill off Bruce Wayne?! At the height of DC’s reigning superhero movie franchise? The new Batman movies are SO much better than the Superman reboot.

Maybe it’s just buzz, but if it’s true, then it’s a bad move if you ask me….
